Pasta, Passion, & Pistols

Another resolution gets checked off...the Murder Mystery Dinner Party hits Marrowbone Saturday night.
Two of my homemade wines will also be available. Yeah, I know, I wouldn't pick them either.

Menu for the evening:
Appetizers
Bruschetta with tomato and mozzarella
Sundried Tomato and Cheese Focaccia Bread (I'm making from a mix)
Roast Garlic and White Bean Dip (Menu in the Party Planner guide)
Avocado Salad (From the Italian cookbook Andy bought for me; he's a fantastic shopper)
Olives

Dinner
Homemade Pizza - Spinach, Mushroom, Pepperoni
Lasagna (Mom is helping me out here)
Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Desserts
Cream Puffs and/or Cannolis
Raspberry Semifreddo (From the Andy cookbook)
Chocolate Hazelnut Coffee Sticks

*I'm Clair. I'm sending Andy to Goodwill tomorrow. Pictures forthcoming.

  1. Hi, Carolyn! I bought a "Murder Mystery" kit on Amazon and it pretty much organizes everything for the host. It comes with invitations (which have character descriptions in them), a party planning guide, scripts for each character, clues, menus options and recipes, name tags, and an instructional CD.

The basic premise: someone has been murdered and the dinner guests act out the script and try to figure out "who done it" (Basically "Clue" for adults). I don't know any more than the guests (I am not supposed to read any of the information until that night) so we're just going to figure it out together. It seems like it will be a ton of fun. If it goes well, we are going to plan a Murder Mystery night at the library!

  2. This was such a fun evening. Thank you for including me. I think the patrons and community would enjoy a murder mystery evening.

This would be one more new activity for our community to experience.
